The work for which bids are asked includes the following: abatement of asbestos containing material and demolition of the existing building on land and above/in water, traffic control, removing a portion of structure b-53-173 over waterway minimal debris, 215 ton base aggregate dense, 95 SY concrete pavement, 65 ton HMA pavement, 10 ton asphaltic surface, 225 cy concrete masonry bridges, 50 cy concrete masonry retaining walls, 9,300 sf piling steel sheet permanent, 1 EA temporary cofferdam, 175 lf curb & gutter, 2,880 sf concrete sidewalk, 110 lf storm sewer pipe reinforced concrete, 2 catch basins w/ castings, signing, pavement markings, 365 lf railing, light poles and luminaires, electrical wiring and conduit, landscaping, 15 lf 6-inch sanitary sewer lateral, 55 lf 6-inch water service, 100 cy common excavation, 10,000 ton backfill structure type b, erosion control, and miscellaneous items associated with above work. Completion Date: June 30, 2025 Pre-Qualification: Yes A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the City of Beloit in the amount of 5% of the Bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee, that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by the City of Beloit. Failure of the part of the Bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the Bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to the City of Beloit as liquidated damages. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the City of Beloit for 110% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirement of the Contract Documents.
