Deadline to submit Questions and Request for Approved Equals or Changes to UTA February 22, 2024, 2:00 pm MST C) Last day for UTA to issue addenda and clarifications February 29, 2024, 5 pm MST Construction activities and tasks identified in response to this RFP shall be consistent with the Project goals stated below. Respondents should identify in their RFPs how they intend to meet these goals and to work with the Designer to meet these goals, which are as follows: o Safety and quality of construction. o Complete the Project within its defined scope, schedule and budget. o Provide a completed Project that is functional, free of defects, meets their expected useful life, is durable and conforms to the Project specifications and good industry standards. o Delivery of the Project in a manner that fosters improved relationships and trust among the UTA and the stakeholders. THE UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY'S MANAGEMENT PHILOSOPHY UTA's management approach anticipates working with the contractor to timely identify and resolve issues and construct a quality product in a timely manner. GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTION The scope of the project is to construct a paved multi-use trail that connects the UTA FrontRunner Clearfield Station to the Rio Grande Rail Trail and the Freeport Center. Construction includes but is not limited to trail construction, utility locating and coordination, retaining wall construction, railing construction, pavement marking and signage, lighting, fencing and landscaping. See plans and specifications in the Appendix for detailed scope of work required. Contractor is responsible for obtaining required permits and approvals for this work. Portions of the Project will be performed within UDOT Right of Way along Antelope Drive (SR-108).
