The Scope of Work includes the construction of approximately 17,969 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter PVC water main including 200 lineal feet of 16-inch bore and steel encasement under Union Pacific Railroad & State Highway 32, approximately 17,663 lineal feet of open trench installation of 8-inch PVC water main, associated fire hydrants, valves, fittings, hardware and other incidental items and work described in the Project Manual, or reasonably inferable therefrom. A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The PWSD No. 1 of Ste. Genevieve County anticipates issuing notice to proceed in April 2024. The wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in this specification. When Federal wage rates are applicable and included, this contract is subject to the "Work Hours Act of 1962," (P.L. 87-581: 76 Stat. 357) and implementing regulations. The PWSD No. 1 of Ste. Genevieve County hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The owner intends to award the contract to the most responsive, responsible bidder submitting the lowest bid.
