Installation of two new sewage pump stations and appurtenances including electrical, controls, emergency generator, site work, approximately 6,300 LF of 8-inch forcemain and 175 LF of 10/12-inch gravity sewer installed by horizontal directional drill and open cut methods, maintenance of traffic and other miscellaneous/ancillary related work as indicated within the contract documents. Work includes furnishing all equipment, material, and labor for the work described in the contract document drawings and specifications. Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Prospective Bidders may obtain or examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Upon Issuing Office s receipt of payment, Bidding Documents will be sent via the prospective Bidder s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the shipping method chosen and responsibility of the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. This project is being funded through agencies such as the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) State Revolving Loan Fund (as administered by MDE) and United States Department of Agriculture-Rural Development (USDA-RD). All requirements in regard to Minority/Women/Disadvantage Business Enterprises shall apply as indicated in the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. All Bidders must utilize to the greatest extent feasible minority/women/disadvantage businesses and will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, or national origin in considering minority/women/disadvantage businesses for subcontracting and/or material supplies. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis. The Project has an expected duration of 270 days.
