Site work and new construction of a service station / car wash facility in Jerome, Idaho. Completed plans call for the construction of a 26,000-square-foot service station / car wash facility; and for site work for a service station / car wash facility.
Project consists of a new 26,000 square foot vehicle maintenance shop or VMS building for the Idaho Army National Guard. Mostly concrete tilt-up construction with major steel components and interior metal stud framing. There will be a 15-ton bridge crane with service to five of six bays. All bays have opposite end opening overhead doors for full bay vehicle pass through. Including four heated vehicle work bays, one warming bay, one wash bay, mechanical mezzanine, separate battery storage area, designated tool storage locations, isolated flammable materials storage, supply storage, bulky equipment storage, locker rooms with latrine and shower areas, administration with common IT areas, offices with supervisor areas, classrooms, a breakroom with covered exterior space, and laundry amenities. This project is required to meet LEED Silver Certification. Access for individuals with disabilities will be provided.
