Site work for a mixed-use development in Springfield, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a swimming pool.
The work generally consists of maintenance, repairs and resurfacing of the existing pool shells at the Springfield Pool Complex within the Township of Springfield. All work to be in accordance with the form of proposal, contract and specifications prepared by the Heintz & Fiore AIA, Architects, LLC 508 Millburn Ave., Short Hills, New Jersey 07078. All future correspondence and document distribution will be made only to Plan Holders registered with the Engineering Department. Information on arranging site access is contained within the Bid Documents. Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended) and that award will not be made to any bidder whom the Commissioner of Labor and Industry does not certify. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. They must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name and address of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, addressed to the Municipal Clerk, TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGFIELD, UNION COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid. Said check or bid bond may not be less than $500 nor shall it be more than $20,000 and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety Company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder. A NonCollusion Affidavit and a Record of Recent ContractAwards must also accompany the proposal on the forms provided. Requests for Information (RFI) be submitted via fax to the architect at (fax) 973-376-0963, attention Donald Fiore no later than 4:00 p.m. EST on Thursday February 22, 2024. In addition, it is recommended that RFI's also be emailed to the architect at (email) hfaia@aol.com. Timely RFI's received may be responded to in accordance with the schedule outlined in Section 01100 Summary in the Project Manual. Bulletin(s) as appropriate will be issued by 1:00 p.m. EST on Friday February 23, 2024, and shall be limited to interpretation or clarification of information readily found or ascertained within the Bid Documents. Verbal requests will neither be acknowledged nor responded to. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 If awarded a contract, your company/firm will be required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Bidders must also comply with the requirements of P.L. 1977, Chapter 33 amending the Local Public Contracts Law. Bidders must submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all the stockholders in the corporation or members of the partnership who own ten percent (10%) or more of its stock, or have a ten percent (10%) or greater interest in the case of partnership. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. The Mayor and Township Committee of the TOWNSHIP OF SPRINGFIELD reserves the right to reject all bids, to reject unbalanced bids, and to waive any informality in any bid.
