Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in North Syracuse, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of renovations to the Men's shower and locker room area including demolition of existing walls, floors, ceilings, shower plumbing fixtures, and drain with temporary partition wall and access door construction for containment of dust/debris to adjacent occupied spaces; and construction of new walls, floors, ceilings, lighting, plumbing fixtures, drainage, ventilation, exhaust fan, lockers and appurtenances, as described in the Contract Documents. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the Bid Form. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. This bid is subject to MBE WBE participation requirements. OCWA reserves the right to waive any informalities with respect to any bid and to reject any and all bids. The Work will be substantially completed within 90 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 120 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run In accordance with the goals and conditions of these Contract Documents regarding utilization of MBE/WBE, the Bidder shall provide at least 15 percent of the contract amount through combined Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) and Womens Business Enterprises (WBE). Further, neither the MBE nor WBE participation should be less than 7 percent of the total contract amount. If the prime contract is with an MBE, the participation requirement shall be 7 percent for WBE only and vice versa if the prime contract is with a WBE. Refer to the OCWA MWBE Policy 1-2017 in the Supplementary Conditions for additional requirement
