Questions related to the submission of bids can be directed to Mathew Paul, Buyer at (313) 791-3443 Email: mpaul@dearbornheighsmi.gov The contractor is expected to cut each property twice a month for a total of 12-14 cuts per property per year. The contractor can expect to find any and all types of debris on the property. All debris will have to be removed prior to cutting. Types of debris may include, but may not be limited to: chunks of concrete, old cyclone fencing, wire, cables, automobile parts, twigs, tree limbs, piles of grass clippings thrown over the fence line or piled at the rear of the property, mattresses, bathtubs, toilets, old furniture, furnaces, tires, lumber, drywall, paneling, plywood, old bikes, toys, etc. All items must be removed from the site prior to cutting. The contractor will be obligated to haul-away the debris. No Debris Will Remain on Site. The grass clippings will also have to be collected and hauled away, but may not be included as part of the debris. Scrub (sapling) trees growing along the fence line are required to be removed and included in the haul-away. This contract shall be for 2024 through 2028 spring-fall season but may be extended one year at the sole discretion of the City of Dearborn Heights. Original contract years are 2024 to 2028 with a one-year extension at the City's sole discretion 2029.
