Replacement Gravel Pack Wells at Prescott 8 and 9- The Project consists of installation of two replacement gravel pack wells and supply, delivery, installation, and testing of associated well pumps and other ancillary equipment. The work includes, but is not limited to, labor, material and equipment, services required for construction, testing, and commissioning of two 36-inch by 24-inch gravel packed wells with pit less adapters, submersible turbine pumps, performance pumping tests, water quality testing, and associated process piping and valves at the Mansfield Water Treatment Facility Prescott Wells #8 and #9 located generally at 500B Rear East Street in Mansfield, MA. Wage rates as determined by the Mass. Commissioners of the Department of Labor and Industries apply to these projects and bids when required. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount that is no less than five (5%) percent of the proposal amount made payable to The Town of Mansfield. Bid deposits shall be a certified check, bid bond, treasurer's check or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. A Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Certificate of Insurance will be required. Bidding procedures shall be in accordance with the General Laws, Chapter 149 Section 44A through 44J as most recently amended, and other applicable laws. The Town of Mansfield reserves the right to make award by item or items, or by total, as may be in the best interest of the Town. A written Acceptance of Bid mailed or furnished to the successful bidder followed by a Town of Mansfield Contract shall be deemed to result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Award of the contract will be subject to availability of funding. The Town of Mansfield reserves the right to discharge the contractor at any time during this contract for not fulfilling its duties as specified.
