Saving Project...

Site work and new construction of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Toronto, Ontario. Design plans call for the construction of a 94,500-square-foot, three-story above grade, 128-bed elderly care / assisted living facility; and for site work for a elderly care / assisted living facility.

Development at Mike Myers Drive and Lawrence Avenue E for construction of 3-storey long term care home facility with 128 beds. The main entry of the proposed facility will be off Mike Myers Drive, in the form of a circular driveway requiring two access points. This leads to a convenient front door drop-off/pick-up area designed to meet the mobility needs of both residents and visitors. A total of 10 parking spaces will be provided (whereas none are required under the applicable Zoning By-law), eight of which are on the east side of the main entrances and two of which are accessible parking spaces closest to the front door entry. Two bicycle racks have been conveniently provided on each side of the main entrance which together provide eight short-term bicycle parking spaces. TIMELINE: As of October 2023, an application for site plan was submitted to the city of Toronto and has been deemed complete. The submission is being reviewed. Detailed design is underway; working drawings schedules will be finalized mid-2024. Tender and construction timing will be finalized based on funding approvals.
