The work to be done consists generally of electrical line work for Oxford Utilities. Work will include primary and secondary construction for installation, removal, replacement, and transfer of the Electric Division facilities. The work will consist of both deenergized and hot work within the city limits of Oxford, MS. Proposals shall be submitted on a unit price time and equipment basis. Each CSP shall be accompanied by a Certified Check on as solvent bank or a Proposer's(Bid) Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of $10,000, as a guarantee that if the Proposal is accepted, the Proposer will enter into a contract and execute the Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and within the time specified. The successful Proposer will be required to execute a Performance and Payment Bond, each in the amount of $500,000issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State and shall be named in the current list of "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff Bureau of Accounts, U.S. Treasury Department. Each Proposer shall be a licensed Contractor as required by the regulations of the State of Mississippi and all amendments thereto in effect on Proposal receipt date. Certificate of Responsibility number, expiration date, and license classification shall be shown on the outside of the envelope containing the Proposal of the General Contractor. Failure to show these items on the outside of envelope will result in Proposal being returned to Proposer unopened. No Proposer may withdraw his Competitive Sealed Proposal for a period of sixty (45) days after date of actual CSP opening, without Owner's consent.
The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities therein.
