The intent of this Request for Qualification (the "RFQ") is to seek statements of qualifications (the "Responses") from parties (the Respondents) interested in furnishing four new dewatering centrifuges for the Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant (AIWWTP; the Plant) which is owned and operated by the Corporation in the city of Delta, British Columbia. The Corporations long-term objective for replacing its dewatering centrifuges is to reliably achieve performance through a guarantee obtained from the successful Respondent. However, uncertainty as to the root cause(s) of the declining performance of the existing dewatering centrifuges creates risk for both the Corporation and the Respondents that the four new dewatering centrifuges may not be able to achieve the Optimized Performance Criteria. This RFQ is an effort to enlist the expertise of highly qualified Respondents to consider the available information and evaluate whether their equipment may be capable of mitigating this risk in appropriate circumstances. The successful Respondents future scope of work will include: (1) Design, fabrication, testing, delivery, and integration of all system components. (2) Training of Corporation staff and preparation of installation manuals, maintenance manuals, and operations manuals. (3) Technical support for installation inspections, testing, startup, commissioning, and optimization. (4) Technical support after installation for routine maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs. (5) Contracting directly with the Corporation or with a future construction general contractor retained by the Corporation for all or part of the indicative scope.
