ORDOT - 003 - I-5 Northbound: Santiam Overflow Bridge *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The bridge was built in 1994 and the deck is in fair condition due to cracking. The project will construct a 1-inch Polyester Polymer Concrete (PPC) overlay to restore the deck condition and gain an additional 20-25 years of service life from the deck. The addition of the PPC overlay will require bridge rail modification to retain the adequate rail height from the travel way. The rail will be modified by bolting a steel tube rail on top of the existing concrete rail following Standard Drawings BR285 and BR 286. The bridge has three guardrail runs which will be brought up to current design standards for height and terminal type. All work will occur on the Interstate 5 driving surface or gravel shoulder.
