The Contractor hereby covenants and agrees with the Minister as herein provided in connection with the following work, namely: Project #11 - Rte 17 Albion/Sturgeon 2024 Rte 17 - Albion/Sturgeon - (Section 01701, Station 11051-12060) Rte 17 - Albion/Sturgeon - (Section 01702, Station 0-464) For a total distance of 1.473 km This section commences approximately 30 metre south of the intersection of Rte 17 and Jack Westaway Rd and proceeds south for distance of 1,473 metres. This work includes: Cold planning 2.6 metre strip along shoulder on each side of road (1.4 metres of asphalt and 1.2 metres of existing shoulder material) (55mm) where required, placing asphalt levelling A (55 mm) in 2.6 metre strip cut on each side of road where required, placing asphalt seal B (45 mm) full width and all other work necessary to complete the Contract. A bid bond equal to or greater than the amount stipulated in Schedule A - Schedule of Special Provisions. The bond shall be from a surety company authorized to carry on business in Canada guaranteeing to supply a performance bond equal to 50% of the Contract value, excluding HST and a labour and material bond equal to 25% of the Contract value, excluding HST. a certified cheque in the minimum amount of ten percent (10%) of the Contract value, excluding HST, which shall be retained until the warranty period (one (1) year after substantial completion) has elapsed The Contractor agrees to complete the work on, or before October 25, 2024.
