The successful Bidder will be required to obtain a Performance Bond for the full amount of the Contract and a Maintenance Bond for a percentage of the construction cost as defined in the specifications, both from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond issued by a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, or by certified check in the amount called for in the Specifications, made out to the Housing Authority of the City of Bayonne. Bids must also be accompanied by the affidavits, etc., referred to in the Instructions to Bidders. Regardless of whether a Bid Bond or Certified Check is submitted for bid guarantee, each bidder must submit a Consent of Surety also from a New Jersey Licensed Surety Company which is listed in the most recently published U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570, stating that it will issue the necessary performance and maintenance bonds should the bidder enter into contract for this work with the Housing Authority of the City of Bayonne.
