Walter B Williams Pickle Ball and Tennis Courts. Baldwin County has planned to construct twenty (20) new pickleball courts with 20' X 44' dimensions and two (2) tennis courts with 36' x 78' dimensions for the enjoyment of the residents. The following is a scope of the work requested by contractors to construct the courts. To construct twelve (12) new pickleball courts measuring 20' x 44' with a minimum 8 foot spacing between courts on one fenced-in area that measures 120' x 200'. To construct two (2) tennis courts measuring 36' x 78' and eight (8) pickle ball courts 20' x 44' with a minimum 8 foot spacing between courts in another fenced-in area that measures 120' x 200'. This area will need to be lengthened to build the two tennis courts and eight pickleball courts that meet the appropriate spacing minimum requirement. A fence is required to separate the tennis courts from the pickleball courts. Site Inspections: The County will assume no responsibility for representations or understandings concerning conditions made by its officers or employees unless included in this request for proposal. The site inspection is a mandatory requirement to submit a proposal. Bid Bond: Construction bidders are also required to post a 5% bid bond at the time of bid submission if the projected budget for the work exceeds $40,000.00. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids submitted and to waive any technicalities or minor irregularities in bids received.
