Albuquerque Public Schools requires a technology e-waste contract in order to properly dispose of technology equipment/miscellaneous equipment in accordance with the State of New Mexico Article 6: Sale of Public Property Section 113-6-2 NMSA 1978. The disposal submission cadence will be approximately every 3- 4 months and will be in large batches. The cadence and number of devices are subject to change depending on the end-of-life status of the devices within the APS Technology fleet. Chromebooks will be the primary device type that need disposal due to the 100,000+ currently in the APS Technology fleet. The most recent batch of devices that are ready for destruction after APS Board of Education approval can be seen below, and used as a scoping example for vendors bidding on the RFP Chromebooks: 12,165 IPads: 2,081 Specialty lab Dell and Mac Desktops: 1,479 Miscellaneous: current amount unknown Deadline for Questions 02/17/2024 @ 5:00pm (local time) Albuquerque Public Schools reserves the right to enter into a four (4) year contract with the awarded Offeror(s). Contractors are required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the prevailing wages specified in a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor. APS reserves the sole right to determine exemptions. APS reserves the right to award all, part or none of the Scope of Work set forth in this RFP. This procurement in no manner obligates Albuquerque Public Schools until a valid signed contract and/or valid Purchase Order is executed.
