A general summary of the work to be performed by Contractor for the Units 5 and 6 Refurbishment at the Salina PSP, includes, but it is not limited to the following: 1. Supply of replacement runners and ancillary equipment; 2. Supply of replacement wicket gates and ancillary equipment; 3. Possible modification of stay vanes to improve efficiency and operation; 4. Participation in workshop / studies to discuss performance characteristics/goals that would best position Salina pump-generating units for participation, marketability, and flexibility in the SPP; 5. Completion of CFD analysis and Model Testing Study of Contractors hydraulic design, including evaluation of both fixed and adjustable speed operation; 6. Refurbishment of wicket gate operating mechanism; 7. Replacement of operating mechanism seals and bushings; 8. Refurbishment and modernization of governor system with new digital governor controller; 9. Refurbishment of pump-turbine inlet valves (butterfly type); 10. Replacement of unit controls; 11. Unit disassembly, rehabilitation, and reassembly; 12. Modification or replacement of other pump-generator components as required by Contractors approved design. 13. Perform signature tests prior to pump-generator refurbishment and testing after pump-generator refurbishment. 14. Perform start-up and commissioning of the refurbished pump-generators. 15. Replace worn and wear parts. Question Deadline 04/12/2024 at 5:00 PM CT The Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all bids on any grounds which the Owner, in its sole discretion, deems appropriate. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond issued by a surety company acceptable to Owner and listed in Federal Circular 570. in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the Contract Price. The successful Bidder will be required to execute the Contract and to furnish a performance bond and a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price as security for the faithful performance and payment of Contractors obligations under the Contract.
