As of 3/27/24 no bids received. Plan to rebid in the future. The work to be performed includes the construction of a water main and sewer extension in the City of Metter, Georgia. This work will be divided into Phase I (Base Bid) & Phase II (Additive Alternate). The limits of disturbance for Phase I is 0.70 acres and for Phase II the limits of disturbance is 3.2 acres. The work in this proposal generally consists of: Phase I (Base Bid): Installation of approximately 461 LF of 10" water main by open cutting along with associated gate valves, hydrant assemblies, meter vaults, casing, pavement restoration, erosion control, traffic control and miscellaneous associated items. The proposal also includes the installation of 1,137 LF of 8" sewer by open cutting and bore & jack methods along with associated manholes, restoration, erosion control, traffic control and miscellaneous associated items. Phase II (Alternative Bid): Installation of approximately 2,463 LF of 10" water main by open cutting along with associated gate valves, hydrant assemblies, meter vaults, casing, pavement restoration, erosion control, traffic control and miscellaneous associated items. The proposal also includes the installation of 2,108 LF of 8" sewer by open cutting along with associated manholes, restoration, erosion control, traffic control and miscellaneous associated items. All work shall be completed within 180 days from the Notice to Proceed, which is expected within 15days of the bid opening. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on the form included hereto and shall be secured by a surety company, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount of the bid. A contract performance and payment bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required of the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11246 and 11375, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis- Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. The contractor, or any subcontractor, submitting a bid for utility contracting, as defined in O.C.G.A. Section 43-14-2 to a utility system as defined in said section, shall conform to O.C.G.A. Section 43-14-8.2 et seq. with reference to Utility Contractor's Licenses and shall submit the bid with the license numbers, as issued by the Division of Utility Contractors, affixed on the outside of the bid envelope.
