Remove and replace existing Piping, Tees, Bends, Reducers, Valves, Connection to Existing Walls and Pipes, Pump Base, Pipe Supports, Hangers, Coating of All Exposed Metal Installed per Specification, Removal and Re-Setting of Pumps, Complete and Ready for Use, Includes off-site disposal of all items removed, Includes temporary by-pass pumping as required to complete the project. SCOPE OF WORK A. Tenderden Lift Station Improvements: Remove and replace existing DIP, valves, tees, bends, pipe supports, pipe hangers, reducers and pump base for Sewer Pump Nos. 1 and 2. Existing pumps will be re-used. Provide protective coating for all exposed pipe and appurtenances. Includes by-pass pumping during construction. All service interruptions will be coordinated with the Operator (Billy Allen or Pat Gray, 713-637-8835) and Engineer (Huitt-Zollars, Inc.). 1.3 PROTECTION A. Protection of Work, Utilities, Structures and Items to Remain: 1. Provide temporary fences, barricades, barriers, guards, or coverings as necessary to protect work, utilities, structures, and items to remain from damage that may result from construction operations. 2. Maintain adequate clearance from paths of traffic, material storage, moving and mechanical equipment and construction operations to prevent impact or vibration damages. 3. Maintain adequate clearance, cut banks at stable slopes, or properly and substantially sheet, brace, and shore tunneling, trenches, and earthwork cuts and fills to prevent damages because of overloading, undermining, disturbing, or removing support of work, utilities, structures, or items to remain. 4. Design and install necessary sheeting, bracing, and shoring to withstand loads caused by earthwork, tunneling, and construction operations. a. Maintain shape and position of sheeting, bracing and shoring for duration necessary. b. Remove when not necessary unless by permission Owner allows sheeting to be abandoned in place. 5.
