Georgetown VA Addition and Modernization The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown is a 168-bed nursing home facility offering two levels of care: standard care for veterans in need of any intermediate level of care and memory care for those with Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia. The home opened in 2003 in the scenic countryside of Brown County.
The Department of Veterans Services is seeking architectural and engineering services for a project including several additions and renovation to an existing facility. The facility is located at 2003 Veterans Blvd, Georgetown, OH 45121. Scope of Services
This project will consist of 2 parts, several additions and renovation to an existing nursing home facility.
o The additions are to be completed prior to the renovations to enable a safe transition of residents
o Additions - 90,400 sf.
o Renovations - 56,280 sf.
o All work must be done with minimal disruption to residents
o Design must adhere to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Small House (SH) Design Guide
o Must adhere to the Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) which requires that all iron and steel, construction
materials, and manufactured products used in federally-funded infrastructure projects are produced in the United
States.
o LEED Certification and or WELL Certification may be required
