Demolition and site work for a residential development in Alton, Illinois. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
As of February 28, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded on March 13, 2024. The City of Alton will receive bids for demolition of 2303 Young Street and 930 Tremont Street for the Building & Zoning Department City reserves the right to waive any informalities and to reject any or all bids. This is a prevailing wage project. The project consists of the complete demolition and removal and disposal of any existing buildings, fences and similar appurtenances located on the premises. The foundation, footing and basement floors shall be completely removed from the demolition site and disposed of at an approved disposal site. Any cisterns or similar reservoirs found on the premise are to be removed. Built circa 1940, the Site is a 1%-story wood-framed residence (28x42') with unfinished Basement and stone foundation.
