It is the responsibility of the bidder to see that any electronic submitted bid shall have sufficient time to be received by the County's eProcurement Portal before the bid submittal deadline. The receiving time in the eProcurement Portal will be the governing time for acceptability of bids. Bidders shall visit the County's eProcurement Portal for any upcoming updates, changes or information regarding this solicitation prior and after bid submission date. Question Submission Deadline:March 1, 2024, 5:00pm The County of Solano's Department of General Services Facilities Division (hereunto know as Facilities) requires a wide variety of plumbing supplies year-round for its daily operation. These materials are used by Facilities personnel in the repair and maintenance of County facilities. The specific types of plumbing supplies and materials that will be provided by the Awardee(s) will vary, however a sample of supplies and materials are itemized in the Categories section below and on the Pricing Proposal tab. 5.2. Categories There are eight (8) categories of plumbing supplies for bid, and bidders can bid on one, some or all of the following categories: CATEGORY A - PVC Pipe & Fittings CATEGORY B - Copper CATEGORY C - Galvanized Pipe Fittings CATEGORY D - Faucet, Valves & Stops CATEGORY E - Drainage Products CATEGORY F - Pool Parts CATEGORY G - Washroom & Materials CATEGORY H - Hangers & Fasteners 5.3. Inventory The Awardee(s) must maintain an inventory of sufficient diversity and quantity as to ensure the delivery of plumbing and other related supplies identified on the Pricing Proposal tab. All plumbing and related materials shall be new unused and come with the manufacturer's guarantee and standard product warranty. Further, plumbing and related materials must conform to any industry standards and best industry practices with respect to strength, quality and workmanship. Additionally, all plumbing and related materials must conform to the requirements of this IFB. Lastly, reconditioned, remanufactured or discontinued plumbing and related materials are not acceptable. 5.4. Inspections, Returns and Restocking All plumbing supplies delivered are subject to inspection by the Facilities Division to ensure they are not miss shipped, defective, damaged or otherwise unsatisfactory. If the Facilities Division finds that any plumbing supply does not meet their standards, then the Awardee(s) will replace the plumbing supply or supplies immediately at no additional cost to the Facilities Division. The Awardee(s) must pick up any defective or rejected plumbing supply within 48 hours of notification. The Facilities Division will not pay restocking fees for any miss shipped, defective, damaged or rejected plumbing supplies. 5.5. Manufacturer's Warranty Awardee warrants that goods furnished hereunder will conform to the requirements of this solicitation and such goods will be merchantable, fit for their intended purposes, free from all defects in materials and workmanship. All warranties shall inure to the benefit of the County, its successors, assigns, customer agencies, and users of the goods. All warranties commence once goods have been received by the County. 5.6. Discontinued Supplies The Awardee(s) must notify the Facilities Division within five (5) days of placing an order of any discontinued plumbing supply. An alternate product may be accepted if the alternate is comparable to the plumbing supply ordered. Approval of the alternate product must be obtained from the Facilities Division prior to delivery. 5.7. Back Orders Notification must be made during the ordering process when a plumbing supply is on back order. Electronic or written notification of anticipated ship date must be sent to the Facilities Division for any back orders that cannot be filled within five (5) calendar days. The Facilities Division will have the option of accepting or cancelling the back order or they may submit a request for a substitute item. The Facilities Division is not to be charged for expenses incurred due to the cancellation of back orders.
