The Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244 is seeking Request for Proposals for the removal of overburden, excavation and stockpiling of gravel. The Rural Municipality of Orkney No. 244 (the "RM") is inviting Request for Proposal's from qualified contractors to provide contracted services to remove and stockpile gravel on the RM owned land being: NE Sec 06 Twp 28 Rge 05 W2 Extension 0, surface parcel #144015320 in the Rural Municipality of Good Lake No. 274. Contractor will remove overburden and complete removal of gravel in the area specified by the RM and stockpile the gravel on site in the area designated by the RM., - The amount of gravel at the site is unknow at this time, but is estimated for approximately 50,000 yards, the intent is to removal all available gravel-from the bottom of the pit, - Period of proposal may run from April 15, 2024 to April 15, 2025 but may result in a two-year contract depending on actual amount of gravel at location, - Contractors invoices must state the number of yards or road gravel removed and stock piled submitted to the RM Office at month end and will be paid at the monthly Councils Meetings and all invoices must be received by the RM Office a minimum of one week prior to each Council meting. Council Meetings are normally held the second Thursday of each month. - Contractors must have a valid PST, GST and WCB number Question Deadline 03/08/2024 All inquiries should be in writing and directed to orkneypw@sasktel.net The RM may circulate its response to any inquiries to all proponents, along with the original inquiry and post on online or may choose not to replay to an inquiry The Municipality reserves the right to refuse or to accept any or all proposals and the lowest proposal may not necessarily be accepted, nor may this proposal result in a contract. The Municipality reserves the right to cancel the acceptance of any propsoal at any time before execution of the contract by all parties without any liability against the Municipality
