Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hartselle, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project shall consist of selective demolition and new reroofing construction work as required under this Contract for Hartselle Junior High School and Riddle Auditorium PARTIAL REROOFING OF HARTSELLE JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL AND RIDDLE AUDITORIUM ARCHITECT JOB NO. 23-131 It is the responsibility of thebidder to assure that bids arepresented at the time of the bid ifthey choose to mail the bid. Contractors must notify the AwardingAuthority if a bid is to be receivedby mail. A cashier's check or bid bondpayable to Hartselle City Boardof Education in an amount notless than five (5) percent of theamount of the proposal, but inno event more than $10,000.00,must accompany the bidder'sproposal for each project. Per- formance and Payment Bondsand evidence of insurance as re- quired in the bid documents willbe required at the signing of theContract. Prior to issuance of plans andspecifications, all Contractorsmust provide evidence that theyare properly licensed for the classification of work for this project.Evidence shall be in the form ofa copy of current license clearlyindicating all classifications, orsub-classifications, bid limits,license number, and expirationdate. GeneralContractors will then be placedon Official Bidders List. Addenda andother proposal information will beissued only to holders of draw- ings and specifications distrib- uted by the Architect and on theOfficial Bidders List. Release ofcontract documents to the bidderdoes not imply acceptance ofthe bidder's qualifications by theOwner or Architect. Bids received from General Contractors who are not on the Official Bidders List may not beaccepted or opened. Lathan Associates Architects, P.C. makesno guarantee for plans and specifications obtained by Contractors and Vendors from sourcesother than the printed contractdocuments provided by their firm.Contractors and Vendors whobase their pricing from contractdocuments obtained from otherelectronic sources, either in partor whole, do so at their own risk. Bids must be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the Architect or copies thereof, issuedeither with the original contractdocuments or by addendum.General Contractors shall notuse Proposal Forms other thanthose provided in the contractdocuments. All bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by theState Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensedunder the provisions of Title 34,Chapter 8, Code of Alabama,1975. The Bidder must display current General Contractor's License Number on the outside ofthe sealed envelope in which theproposal is delivered, or it will notbe considered by the Architect or Owner. The Owner reserves theright to reject any or all proposalsand to waive technical errors if, inthe Owner's judgment, the bestinterests of the Owner will thereby be promoted.
