Demolition, site work and addition to a mixed-use development in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the addition of a educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Project NO: 23-059, 23-067, 31232182 Work includes construction of a 1-story addition to Liberty School and a 1-story addition, with crawl space, to Thomas Magnet School. Construction includes CMU bearing walls (both interior and exterior), brick veneer on exterior walls, concrete slab on-grade with concrete spread footings. Typical roof construction shall be light gauge prefabricated metal trusses and steel bar joist/trusses. Metal roof deck on trusses. On sloped roofs single ply roofing on all sloped roofs. Floor finishes include vinyl composition tile, sheet vinyl, and resinous flooring. Interior walls will be concrete block or gypsum board finished with paint. Ceilings shall be lay-in type acoustic tile, or gypsum board. A Payment, Performance, Labor and Materials (PPLM) Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum issued by a bonding company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee andBid bond or Certified Cashiers Check, made payable to Bedford County, in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Bid tabs released with intent to award within approximately 3 calendar days. The Owner shall have the right to reject any or all Bids.
