Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Deforest, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the construction of a 2,584-square-foot pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

The work for which bids are asked includes, but not necessarily limited to, furnishing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the Village of Windsor Salt Storage Shed, located at 4160 County Road V, DeForest,WI 53532. Base Bid will include a 68' x 38' wood frame salt storage structure with castin-place concrete foundation t-walls, capable of holding 1,000 tons of salt. The Work which bids are asked includes, but is not necessarily limited to, cast-in-place reinforced concrete, metal fabrications, rough framing, wood trusses, overhead sectional door and frame, damp-proofing, painting, metal wall panel, metal roofing, gutters and downspouts, electrical, earthwork, foundation excavations, finish grading and electrical site utilities. All work will be issued under a single prime contract for general construction. A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to Village of Windsor in the amount of 10% of the bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond acceptable to the Village of Windsor for 100% of the Contract Price for each of the above Bonds, in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Prevailing wage rates are not applicable to this project. 2015 Wisconsin Act 55 (the budget bill) repealed the state prevailing wage law for local governmental units such as villages, towns, cities, school districts, or sewerage districts effective January 1, 2017. BID SECURITY: A certified check or satisfactory Bid Bond payable to Village of Windsor in the amount of 10% of the bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee. If the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the Agreement, the Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as required by the Contract Documents, within ten (10) days after the Notice of Award of the Contract by Village of Windsor. Failure on the part of the bidder to do so will result in forfeiture of the bidder's certified check or Bid Bond to Village of Windsor as liquidated damages. Village of Windsor Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, Waive Any Informalities in Bidding, or to Accept the Bid or Bids, Which Best Serve the Interests of the Village of Windsor. Bid Withdrawal: No Bid Shall Be Withdrawn for a Period of Sixty (60) Days After the Schedule Opening of the Bids Without the Consent of the Owner or Architect.
