Reference Number AB-2024-01357 City Wide Plumbing Services on an as needed basis The term of the agreement is to be for a period of one (1) year, with an option in favour of the City to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to four (4) additional years. The City of Medicine Hat is responsible for operating, maintaining and responding to plumbing and gas infrastructure projects and emergencies. The City of Medicine Hat requires assistance from plumbing service companies who emcompass a wide range of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial and industrial buildings for the execution of work on an "as needed" basis. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to engage one or more than one plumbing companies to delvier a variet of plumbing projects on an "as required" arrangement for all departments of the City. All City Wide projects will vary is size and scope. The City anticipates initiating several projects at any given time. This will be a City Wide Contract. The work can vary depending on the specific requirements of each plumbing project, such as the size and complexity of the building, the type of plumbing systems installed, and any applicable building codes and regulations, and residential modificiations or requests. Effective communication and collaboration with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders are essential to ensure the successful completion of such projects. City Wide Plumbing Services will be unique depending on specific department requests and requirements, industry standards and regulations governing plumbing services in a particular location. Plumbing services require careful planning, execution, and oversight to ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of operations. The City reserves the right to add or delete projects or services from this list. Services may include but is not limited to the supply, installation, repair, maintenance, or replacement of: Acquire application gas permits. Secondary gas tie-Ins (inside/outside moves, renewals, upgrades) Gas-fired appliance re-lights and repairs Leak testing and painting of final products Regulators Reliefs Meters Secondary water plumbing Domestic water distribution systems Domestic hot water systems (on demand, high efficiency boilers, hot water tanks & storage systems) Water softener systems Cross Connection Certification Steam generator systems Sanitary sewer systems Storm water systems Lift stations
