Panhandle Pathway SR 14 to 17th Street construction includes, but is not limited to, the construction of approximately 0.6 miles of a 10 wide asphalt trail, beginning at a point of connection at the northwest corner of the SR 14 and Hathaway Street intersection continuing northwest of SR 14 for approximately 1,500 ft. and then head north ending near 17th Street. This will connect the existing Panhandle Pathway located in the southwest corner of SR 14 and Logan Street intersection via a crossing across SR 14. Pavement markings and signage will be installed at this intersection with rectangular rapids flashing beacons being installed on the north and south side of SR 14 near the new Panhandle Pathway crossing. The following items are to be constructed in accordance with project plans and specifications: asphalt pavement for trail, base stone, shoulder stone, drainage pipe and structure installation, seeding, erosion control, pavement markings and signage, installation of amenities, and other incidental work. Each Contractor submitting a Bid is responsible for making themselves aware of site access and construction conditions associated with the location, and for reading and being thoroughly familiar with the contract requirements. The failure or omission of any Bidder to do any of the foregoing shall in no way relieve any Bidder from any obligation with respect to its Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids. The Owner places a high priority on contractors with proven experience with construction of this type in Pulaski County.
