A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Furnish all labor, equipment, and tools to remove 7,504 outdated analog water meters, replacing them with 7,504 advanced meters integrated with Itron 500W cellular ERT communication modules. Furthermore, within the scope of the AMI phase 1 project, 5,042 advanced meters are currently fitted with Itron 100W endpoints. These meters necessitate the replacement of all 100W endpoints with Itron 500W endpoints. In addition to this, the project entails supplying the labor, tools, and materials to eliminate 398 existing water meter boxes. Then 398 H20 Traffic Rated meter boxes will be installed, accompanied by constructing a concrete pad measuring 4 inches in thickness and 12 inches in diameter around each meter box. This construction process adheres to the SBMWD Standard W1.1 (Attachment), ultimately reaching the final grade. Minimum Experience Requirements: Each Bidder shall show that he/she has completed the installation of three (3) AMI Projects of similar size and complexity within the last five (5) years for a similar size and type of agency. Project experiences with a water utility or other governmental agency are preferred. Other Details Minority and disadvantaged businesses are strongly encouraged to submit bids for this project as a prime contractor. Minority and disadvantaged businesses are also encouraged to reach out to prime contractors to partner up as subcontractors on portions of the project that they are able to perform. All contractors must follow the Special provisions Section of the Technical Specifications and comply with all applicable general law, regulations, executive orders, FEMA policies, procedures, and directives. Contractors are required to submit with their bids the Federal Forms contained in Appendix AA. Notes The bidder is solely responsible for on time submission of their electronic bid. Install the meter, ensuring the flow direction matches the arrow on the meter. f. Connect the meter to the pipeline using the appropriate fittings. g. Connect the 500w endpoint to the meter connection and install it to the mounting hardware. h. Install a meter box over the meter, ensuring its level and security. i. Open the front hose spigot, slowly open the curb stop, and flush the private side waterline to remove any debris that may have entered the private side waterline. j. Restoring the water supply by fully opening the curb stop and checking for leaks.
