Al Ritchie Drainage Improvement Project Phase Three (2A & 2B). The objective of this project is to improve the level of service of the existing stormwater system and reduce the risk of flood within the study boundary. The area bounded by Winnipeg Street to the west, Ring Road to the east, CPR Railway track to the north, and Wascana Lake to the south which represents a total area of approximately 611 hectares (ha). The area is built up with a mixture of industrial, commercial, and residential developments. Buildings within the area date back to the early 1950's and range from single story houses with basements to multi-story developments, some of which have underground parking facilities. TIMELINE: Design is underway and expected to be completed in late 2025; construction is planned for 2026. Further update late 2024. *Budget is unreleased.
