SCOPE OF PROJECT: This work consists of providing all materials, labor and equipment required for the reconstruction of an aggregate horse trail and construction of three (3) 120 inch diameter bituminous coated corrugated steel culverts with concrete headwalls, including, but not limited to, subgrade preparation, Class II base course construction, excavation, embankment, channel realignment, and related work as described in the Contract Documents. Document Notes : Per LA R.S 38:2212, in order to bid the project, a complete set of Bid Documents must be obtained by the prime bidder at the office of Owen Engineering, LLC, 900 Market St., Suite 201, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101 upon receipt of _$100_ deposit (for each set of documents). The deposit is fully refundable to all prime bidders who submit a bid upon return of the documents, in good condition, no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. All Bids must be accompanied by Bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base Bid and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check or Bid Bond written by a qualified, licensed company in conformance with the laws of the State of Louisiana. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance, Maintenance and Payment Bond on a form provided by the Parish and written in accordance with state law. Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are appropriately licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2164. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of Bids, except under the provisions of LA. R.S. 38:2214. The Parish of Caddo reserves the right to reject any and all Bids for just cause and to waive any informalities and technicalities. The Parish of Caddo shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
