Scope of Work: Carteret County Government is soliciting competitive proposals to furnish and install a double-slatted wooden fence with double gate around an existing cooling tower located at 302 Courthouse Square, Beaufort, NC 28516. Details are as follows: o The Contractor shall furnish and install a durable and sturdy eight-foot (8') high, vertical doubleslatted wooden fence that includes bottom and top trim, along with a double gate. Each gate shall be thirty-six inches wide (36") and shall be supported by treated six by six (6" x 6") post, encompassing an area of twenty feet by twenty feet (20' X 20'). o The fencing shall be constructed with the necessary specifications to safely jump over the existing piping as shown below. o The double gate shall be installed securely, allowing a padlock for an added layer of security. o All hardware shall be made of high-quality stainless steel. o The Contractor shall be fully responsible for providing location services, if necessary, to ensure that underground utilities are not damaged. o The Contractor shall submit any warranty documentation on behalf of the County. o Any damages caused by the Contractor shall be the Contractor's responsibility to fix or replace at the County's discretion. o Work shall commence strictly during approved scheduled business hours. o The Contractor shall verify all measurements pertaining to all fields of construction. o The Contractor shall obtain the required permits, if required, give all notices to the POC (including a copy of any permits), and comply with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work. Permits shall be posted onsite at project location. No time extensions shall be granted or financial consideration given to the Contractor for time or monies lost due to violations of any such ordinance, code, law or regulations that may occur.
