Site work, paving and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Brenham, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility.
Work shall include site preparations, materials and labor to provide a complete building as detailed in the specifications below. The County shall be responsible for all permits. The Contractor shall be responsible for: a. Construction of the 340 x 32' welded metal equipment shed (enclosed on three (3) sides). b. Structure shall be constructed on existing flexbase material. No building foundation is included within scope of the project. c. Providing material submittals to the County for review and approval prior to installation. d. Maintaining a clean working site and shall be responsible for all construction waste material. The purpose of this Invitation for Bid Document is for Washington County ("County") to contract for the construction of an equipment shed in conformity with the requirements contained herein Date of Award: March 12, 2024 @ 9:00 am Washington County Courthouse Commissioners Court Chambers 100 E Main St, Suite 103, Brenham, Texas 77833. 1. Questions must be addressed in writing to Washington County Engineer wcrboffice@washingtoncountytx.gov. 2. The last date to submit questions for clarification will be noon on Friday, February 23, 2024. 3. It is the Vendors responsibly to make sure all addenda are acknowledged in their bid. Failure to do so could result in the bid being disqualified. Time for completion: 1. The Work contemplated under this Contract shall be considered as continuous and be completed within sixty (60) calendar days from the notice to proceed. 2. The Successful Vendor will be allowed to work eight (8) hours per day, Monday through Friday, except for holidays, 52 weeks per year. 3. The Successful Vendor will not be permitted to work on holidays observed by Washington County or the State of Texas or on Sundays unless otherwise authorized in writing. Bid bond: 1. Bid Documents must be accompanied by a Bid Bond if the Vendor's total Bid amount exceeds $100,000, payable to the County for five (5%) percent of the total amount of the bid. After execution of the Contract, and receipt, execution, and approval of the Successful Vendor's Payment and Performance bond, the Bid Bond will be returned. A certified check may be used in lieu of a Bid Bond. 2. The County, at its discretion, may consider a Vendor in default if the Vendor fails to execute the Contract, in which the County will retain said Bid Bond. Performance and payment bonds: 1. The Successful Vendor will be required to provide the County with a Performance Bond and Payment Bond if their total Bid amount exceeds $100,000, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the County for the faithful performance of the Contract. Owner Rights: Unless otherwise specified, the Contract will be awarded to the lowest and best Vendor complying with the provisions of the Bid Documents, provided the Bid price is reasonable, does not exceed the funds available, and it is in the best interest of the County to accept it. The County reserves the right to reject the Bid Documents of any Vendor who has previously failed to perform properly in any way or complete on time contracts of a similar nature; or a Bid Document from a Vendor who, investigation shows, is not in a position to perform the Contract; or Bid Documents from any person, firm, or corporation which is in arrears or in default to the County for any debt or contract.
