Site work for a water / sewer project in Claremont, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project includes the rehabilitation for five (5) pump stations. Construction includes, but not limited to, the required site work at each pump station and the following major Work items: 1. Work required at each pump station a. Demolition of pump systems, valves, piping, and control panels. b. New duplex submersible pump system with control panel. c. Precast concrete valve vault with pipe and valves d. Electrical panels, conduits, wiring, and associated concrete support slab. e. General site work. f. Bypass pumping during construction 2. Provide the following major work items at each station a. Catawba 1) Demolition of wet well and pump dry pit. 2) Provide precast 7-foot diameter wet well. 3) Generator and automatic transfer switch. b. School 1) Demolition of valve vault. 2) Clean and spot repair concrete wet well. 3) Relocate generator and automatic transfer switch c. Smyre 1) Demolition and replacement of cast-in-place concrete top for dry pit / wet well structure. 2) Clean and spot repair existing concrete structure. 3) Approximately 200 feet of replacement of an 8-inch sewer main. Approximately 100 feet of the line is aerial. 4) Generator and automatic transfer switch. d. State 1) Demolition and replacement of cast-in-place concrete wet well top. 2) Clean and spot repair concrete wet well. 3) Generator and automatic transfer switch. e. Tyson 1) Demolition of existing pump house and wet well 2) Provide 5-foot diameter wet well 3) Force main extensions 4) Manual transfer switch for portable generator Bids are requested for the following Contract: Pump Station Improvements. With a request for Bidding Documents supply the following information: Company name, contact person with email, street address, and phone numbers; N. C. contractor's license with limitation and classification; indicate if the firm will be a Bidder, Supplier or Sub-Contractor. Non-Refundable Fee for the Bidding Documents Access to Website Download of PDF: Registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF files for a fee in the amount of $50.00. This does not include printed copies. Access to Website and Printed Copies: Bidding Documents, including full size Drawings, will be shipped to the Bidder for a fee in the amount of $400. The Bidding Documents will be shipped UPS ground. This fee will include registration and access to the Issuing Office Project Bidding site for electronic download of Bidding Documents as PDF Files. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders should be aware that the Project will be funded in part by American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Successful Bidder shall be required to follow ARPA Requirements in accordance Supplementary Conditions. For all further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract.
