Phase 2 Renovation of Norwood and Tyler Halls The project consists primarily of renovating and adding walls, ceilings, finishes, fixtures, HVAC equipment and other items in student rooms, corridors, public and support spaces. The project also includes some additional interior finish demolition, additional structural support, and additional spray applied fireproofing. A significant amount of the interior finishes of both buildings were removed in Phase 1. The fire detection and fire protections systems were also removed and will be replaced in this project. Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond Form (CO-10.2) is required. A Bid Bond and Contract Security will be required of all bidders regardless of amount. The contract shall be awarded on a lump sum basis as the Total Base Bid Amount including any properly submitted and received bid modifications as the Owner in its discretion decides to award in the manner set forth in paragraph 12 of the Instructions to Bidders. Notice of Award or Notice of Intent to Award will be posted on the bulletin board at the Armstrong Facilities Management Building, Facilities Planning and Construction, 501 Stockton Street, Radford University, Radford, Virginia 24142, and on eVA. Contractor registration is required in accordance with Title 54.1-1103, of the Code of Virginia. See the Invitation for Bids for additional qualification requirements.
