Renovation of a fire / police facility in Elmira, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

No decisions need be made on that date. Decisions will be made prior to April 15, 2024. Bids must be firm for seventy (70) days. If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of specifications or other issues, he may submit to the Fire District #1, Town of Elmira a written request for interpretation or correction thereof. Requests to be given consideration must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the Bid Date. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the proposed document will be made by Addendum only, duly issued, and a copy will be mailed or delivered to each person receiving a set of documents not later than 48 hours prior to Bid Date. Fire District #1, Town of Elmira will not be responsible for any other explanation or interpretation of the proposed document. All bids must be submitted with an affirmed non-collusive bidding Certification or will not be considered for award All bids must be submitted with an affirmed sexual harassment policy and Training certification or will not be considered for award. Date of Completion: Final completion date must be no later than October 18, 2024. SECURITY REQUIRED: 5 % Certified Check or Bid Bond No decisions need be made on the night of bid opening. If you choose to have your bid delivered please send it to Fire District #1, Town of Elmira, Attention: Secretary, 1299 West Water Street, Elmira, New York 14905. Any express mail type documents should be sent to the Fire District address with a note not requiring a signature for delivery. All Prime Contract Bidders who have paid the aforesaid deposit for an entire set of Bidding and Contract Documents and have submitted a bid with required bid security; and return such sets to Dataflow Inc. Horseheads office in GOOD CONDITION within thirty (30) calendar days after the award of contract or rejection of bids, shall receive a refund of the full amount of such deposit. Questions shall be directed to Mike Pelino at Hunt Engineers, Architects, Land Surveyors & Landscape Architect, DPC at email pelinom@hunt-eas.com@hunt-eas.com. All bidders request for information shall use the form located in specification 00 12 00 - Request for Information. A digital copy of this form is available upon request. As bid security, each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond made payable to Owner, in accordance with the amounts and terms described in the INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The Fire District reserves the right to waive any informality in bids received when such waiver is in the best interest of the Fire District; also to except any item in the bid, unless otherwise specified by the Fire District or Bidder. The competency and responsibility of Bidders will be considered in making the award. The Fire District reserves the right to reject any or all bids when such rejection is in the best interest of the Fire District, and to reject the bid of a Bidder who, in the judgment of the Fire District is not in a position to perform the Contract. The Fire District does not obligate itself to accept the lowest or any bid. The Fire District prior to any award of contract may require a statement of financial condition and/or Dun and Bradstreet rating. The past and present financial condition of the Bidder will be seriously considered during bid evaluation. The bidder shall disclose any current or pending litigation regarding failure to complete or comply with specified components on complete project. The coverage of parts, the types of equipment utilized, the quality of the system bid, shall all be taken into consideration. All questions prior to bid opening must be received by the close of business on February 27, 2024.
