Renovation of a detention facility in Delaware, Ohio. Design plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
As of July 18, 2025, an architect has been selected, and this project is in the design phase. Schematic design has been completed but no funding has been identified to proceed with the project at this time. Bidding will be done in 3-4 phases. A firm construction timeline has not yet been set, but work is unlikely to begin before 2027. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Delaware County Board of Commissioners, in accordance with Section 153.67 of the Ohio Revised Code, wishes to receive Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from experienced architectural/engineering firms to assist the County in the design and engineering for renovations to the Delaware County Jail. The work may involve, but is not limited to, programming and schematic design, schematic design budget estimating, construction schedule, and other associated services. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
