Project involves the construction of a new evidence processing building at the Delaware State Police Troop 5. The new building will be a 1,360 SF pre-engineered metal building. Bidders will not be subject to discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or national origin in consideration of this award, and Minority Business Enterprises, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Women-Owned Business Enterprises and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids on this contract. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids from that described in the advertisement, with not less than two calendar days notice by certified delivery, facsimile machine or other electronic means to those bidders receiving plans. Question Deadline 03/18/2024 Bidders or Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to the Architect at least seven days prior to the date for receipt of Bids. The new pre-engineered building will have metal siding and a standing seam metal roof. There is space for storage of two vehicles. There is a separate room for evidence storage. F. Civil scope of work includes preparing site for new foundation walls and slab, providing finish grading for building, and stormwater management. G. Structural scope of work design of column footings, foundation walls, and slab-on-grade to support the pre-engineered metal building. H. Electrical scope of work includes extension of the power, fire alarm, and telecom from the existing Delaware State Police: Troop 5 building to the new building via new duct bank. There will also be new interior and exterior lights, as well as new fire alarm devices. I. Mechanical scope of work includes new louver and exhaust fan.
