As of October 30, 2024, a design firm has been selected. The owner is about halfway through the feasibility study and will be concluding the preliminary design program in December 2024. The preferred schematic teport phase of the project will be from December-April 2025. A preferred schematic design is expected to be completed by December, 2025. The owner will send the preferred schematic for voter approval in April, 2026. If voters approve the project, the construction will begin in summer 2026. Architect firm information has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Owner is seeking design services to conduct a Feasibility Study which will include the development and evaluation of potential alternative solutions and continue through the Schematic Design Phase of the preferred alternative initially. A potential Project may include a renovation of an existing school, a renovation of and addition to an existing school, and/or new construction. The estimated construction budget for a potential Project may range from $100,000,000 to $200,000,000 depending upon the solution that is agreed upon by the Owner and the MSBA and that is ultimately approved by a vote of the MSBA's Board of Directors.
