Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Rossville, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

On behalf of Walker County, Georgia ("County"), Barge Design Solutions solicits a request for proposals (RFP) for park amenities to include a playground, splash pad, and multi-purpose building to be located at the existing Rossville Recreation Facility on Salem Road in Rossville, GA. The project is funded by a Federal ARPA SLFRF grant administered by the State of Georgia. The County intends to purchase the proposed amenities described in this RFP through a cooperative purchase agreement that meets federal and state procurement requirements. Proposers can submit proposals for one or more of the park amenities according to the products and services the proposer can provide. Specific requirements for each of the park amenities is included below. The County intends to start construction of the project by July 31, 2024 and open the park on or before April 1, 2025. The site work surrounding the proposed park amenities described in this RFP will be provided by others under a separate contract including site demolition, erosion/ sediment control, underground utilities (electrical, sewer and water), storm drainage, earthwork to subgrade of park amenity areas, asphalt entry drive, parking lot, concrete curbs and/or concrete curb and gu9ers (associated with parking lot), concrete sidewalks between park amenities, walking path, site lighting, landscaping, and site furniture. Coordination with the site contractor will be required by all the selected park amenity suppliers and contractors. The County reserves the right to reject any and all proposals with or without cause, and to accept proposals which it considers most favorable. All delivery, assembly, installation and supervision costs must be included in the proposal. The County reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject and return, without evaluation, any proposal received after the proposal submission time and date, whether it is delivered by mail or otherwise. The Owner reserves the right to reject all Proposals, to waive irregularities and informalities. Any Proposer who contacts any of the Owner's elected officials or staff, or the Owner's consultants, Barge Design Solutions, Inc. directly or indirectly after the date of issue of this invitation for the purpose of influencing the selection process prior to award shall be immediately disqualified and removed from consideration. Descrip)on: Playground is to include but not be limited to the following criteria, materials, specifics, and design. 1. The design theme of the playground will be based on Walker County's slogan "Walker Rocks" and should include a variety of naturalized play structures that ulize stylized boulders, logs, and animals. Example images of the type of features that could be used to support the desired theme are included in the RFP. 2. The playground contractor shall provide the following to furnish a complete playground ready for use, turnkey. All materials shall be new and free from defects and meet the specified product standards. a. Design documents required to support permiLng and construcon. b. Playground equipment, edging and safety surfacing, including delivery, installaon and incidentals. c. Provide and install base material for safety surfacing (i.e. aggregate) and any associated subsurface drainage required. Playground contractor is responsible for confirming subgrade elevaons prior to installaon. 3. Playground shall be designed and constructed to meet all local, state, and federal requirements for public playgrounds. 4. All items proposed must comply with applicable safety or regulatory standards or codes. 5. All playground equipment meets or exceeds all current standards and guidelines of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), American Society for Tesng and Materials (ASTM), Americans with Disabilies Acts (ADA); equipment must be cerfied by the Internal Playground Equipment Manufacturers Associaon (IPEMA); and products comply with Consumer Product Safety Improvement ACT (SPSIA- 2008) 6. All equipment, products, supplies, and services shall be covered by a warranty that is the industry standard or be9er. 7. Building contractor guarantees that the materials will be free from defects in materials and workmanship/ installaon for a period of not less than one (1) year from date of delivery acceptance
