This project includes, but is not limited to, architectural work including removal of vinyl floor tile and replace with new flooring, remove plastic laminate countertops and replace with solid surface countertops, replace damaged base cabinet doors, replace fiberglass reinforced panels in 1053, refinish wood windowsills, repair EIFS and miscellaneous masonry damage, and replace exterior sealant joints. Mechanical and electrical work includes reinstallation of sinks for countertop replacement and grease trap. Questions regarding the scope of work should be directed to the Design Professional. This project consists of, but not limited to, general remodeling of existing daycare center. Project Information: Substantial Completion: 100 Days (Approximately July 11, 2024) Final Completion: 160 Days (Approximately September 9, 2024) Bid Estimate: $145,000.00 Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Board of Regents, State of Iowa, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Question Deadline 03/12/2024 Each bidder shall examine the contract documents carefully and, not later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date set for receipt of bids, shall make written request to the Design Professional for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which may be discovered.
