This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Saskatchewan Power Corporation ("SaskPower") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for the provision of the Y1B-LDF Facility Modification -138 kV as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A) (the " Work"). This project consists of constructing a new 138kV line (approximately 1 km) as well as salvage of the old 138kV line located near the Louis Dreyfuss processing plant in Yorkton, SK. The project is designed to 90% and a full IFC will be issued to the successful proponent. a) SaskPower is seeking new construction of approximately 1km of 138kV transmission line. This new line is a re-routed section of the existing Y1B-LDF line and will consist of nine (9) direct embed 138kV wood pole H-frame structures with single Hawk conductor with 2x-5/16" OHSW. b) After the new Y1B-LDF line has been energized, the Contractor shall salvage approximately 1km of existing single circuit, three phase conductors and two overhead shield wire transmission line consisting of six (6) single-pole self-weathering steel tangent structures and one (1) two-pole self- weathering steel vertical corner deadend structure. c) The following Work will be optional and is excluded from the Contract Price: Construction of a tap line, approximately 0.55km, starting between new Y1B-LDF structures #68 and #69 and terminating at the new A-Frame. The line will consist of direct embedded nine (9) structures, stringing of single Hawk conductor, 2x-5/16" OHSW. The optional Work shall be issued to the Contractor as a Change to the Work if required.
