Site work for a civil project in Kelowna, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The City intends to initiate an early engagement contract with a qualified contractor for slope stabilization and repair of a previous failure, aiming to stabilize and restore the infrastructure. The city aims to engage a capable General Contractor to cultivate an early collaborative problemsolving culture in the project. The objective is to address key constructability challenges and minimize uncertainty in scope during the design phase, prior to entering the Construction phase. The project includes but is not limited to the following: Earthworks related to the repair and stabilization of existing slope and critical infrastructure, including a 1050 mm steel non-potable transmission main and FortisBC overhead three phase power. Earthworks related to surface drainage and storm water management. Installation of sub-surface drainage works. Installation of a new below ground air valve chamber for an existing 1050 mm non-potable transmission main. Surface restoration, which includes landscaping and planting.
