Site work for a water / sewer project in Regina, Saskatchewan. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
In the upcoming 2025 water main renewal program, preliminary assessments have identified approximately ten (10) specific sites covering a total distance of roughly 5 kilometers where water main replacement is under consideration. (See Annex C) These existing water mains have varying diameters, ranging from 150 millimeters to 300 millimeters, and are primarily located within residential neighborhoods. This project involves the use of both trenchless and traditional construction methods and aligns with the City's proactive approach to rejuvenating its aging watermains infrastructure. The primary goal is to enhance water distribution efficiency and reduce the likelihood of watermain failures. TIMELINE: Project is in design. Construction is planned for 2025; a total of two tender packages will be issued. Further update may be available late 2024/2025. *Budget is unreleased.
