Scope of Work: This Section describes caulking and sealing of all joints, including backer-rod material, at all areas where dissimilar materials abut each other, and/or where shown on the Drawings and elsewhere as required to provide a positive barrier against passage of air and passage of moisture. Installation shall occur in, but not be limited to, the following locations. 1. Interior work to include: a. Countertops/backsplashes to walls b. Hollow metal and aluminum frames to walls c. Ceiling perimeter d. Interior wall intersections e. Floor control joints at hard tile f. Floor joints at hard tile at perimeter of floor area where walls intersect g. Louver frames/masonry wall surface interfaces 2. Other areas where the nature of work requires it for appearance or to insure weathertight construction or tight interior construction
