Demolition of Existing Building and Construction of a New Building for the Baldwin County District Attorney located in Bay Minette, Alabama The Work consists of the following general scope. This project shall consist of a single-phase demolition and construction contract. All prospective Bidders must be pre-qualified with the Baldwin County Commission to bid on the demolition of an existing building and construction of a new building for the Baldwin County District Attorney located in Bay Minette, Alabama. The demolition will consist of the removal of +/- 14,500 sf of existing structures. It will be the responsibility of the awarded contractor to remove and dispose of all construction materials including but not limited to the following: Steel, Concrete, Concrete Block, Underground storm structures and Underground utilities as defined by the demolition drawings and specifications. Should asbestos laden materials be identified, the removal and disposal should follow all governing guidelines. The new construction will include limited site work for underground utilities and stormwater. The building's construction will consist of a 2-story structure comprising +/- 14,500 square feet per floor. The first floor will be finished space and include office space for the operations of the Baldwin County District Attorney. The second floor of the structure will not include "finished space" but rather limited plumbing, HVAC, and electrical rough-ins. All work for this project will be further defined in the contract documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any Application if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of, such Bidder fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is properly qualified to carry out the obligations of the Agreement and to complete the Work. All Applicants will be notified prior to Bid.Upon submittal of the Pre-qualification Application, the owner may make such investigations as he deems necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work, and the Bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as the Owner may request.
