Questions must specifically reference the section of the Bid to which the question pertains. To prevent an unfair advantage to any respondent, all questions and answers will be posted as an addendum/Q&A on Procurement's website on February 27, 2024, by End of Day. SCOPE OF WORK The SCBE requests bids for PEABODY ES RENOVATION. The specifications are contained in the MSCS Design Project Manual, Project Manual for Peabody Elementary School Renovation, Peabody Elementary School Renovation Drawings and the Peabody Elementary School Windowpanes Drawings. Responses submitted must meet or exceed all requirements. Bids that do not meet or exceed all requirements will be considered non-responsive. The project consists of the renovation of the existing Peabody Elementary School. Additional scope information is provided (See page 14 for detailed scope of services.) MINORITY AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRIZES UTILIZATION SCBE has set a Minority or Woman-owned Business Enterprises goal of 22.0% for this project, the Bidder shall take affirmative action to ensure that minority-owned and women-owned businesses, which have been certified by the City of Memphis, Shelby County Government and/or Memphis-Shelby County Airport Authority, are utilized when possible as sources of supplies, equipment, construction and services for Memphis-Shelby County Schools. Please see Appendix I - MINORITY AND WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES UTILIZATION. All relative forms in Appendix I must be completed and submitted with the bid. If the relative forms are not completed and submitted with the bid, the bid will be an invalid bid. Please note that the non-expired certificate is to be submitted with the bid. TERM OF AGREEMENT The anticipated terms of this contract shall be up to (1) year. The work shall begin after issuance of the "Notice to Proceed. Estimated start time is 04/01/2024. The substantial completion date is 07/12/2024 and a final completion date of 08/01/2024.
