Any spoken communication given is not binding upon the Authority unless and until it is communicated in written form. Should an Offeror find discrepancies or omissions in this RFQ or any other documents provided by the Authority, the Offeror should provide immediate notification of such potential discrepancy in writing via email as noted above. The Authority is an independent body politic and corporate as defined by North Carolina General Statute 160A Article 25. All inquiries regarding this proposal must be directed to the designated contact listed above. Approval of any contract resulting from this RFQ will be made by the Authority. The decision of the Authority will be final. Offerors who fail to follow this directive are subject to disqualification. Clarifications/Questions Due Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm EST Clarifications/Questions Answered Wednesday, March 6, 2024 Estimated Notice of Intent to Award Friday, March 15, 2024 Project Description and Scope of Services The Authority is soliciting SOQs from qualified firms interested in providing architectural and engineering services including analysis, planning, design, permitting and bidding for the Forden Station Customer Service Center Renovations Project. The project involves relocation of the existing Customer Service Center from its current location in the lobby to another location at Forden Station that ensures a higher level of customer service for passengers and the public while providing for additional security and efficiencies for Wave Customer Service staff. The current Center measures approximately 10' x 12' and has stations for two Customer Service staff (see photographs in Appendix F). It is anticipated the relocated Customer Service Center will be similar in size or slightly larger. Architectural and engineering services for this project may include: o Design including plan/elevation of proposed relocation of Forden Customer Service Center o Permit/construction drawings o Estimating o Bidding Note: Construction Administration will be provided for separately if construction results from this architectural and engineering work. This is a Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Offerors are not required to submit project specific scope information nor price. Do not submit price information nor work product with your submittal package. Each submittal package will be reviewed based on qualification criteria listed in this solicitation. In accordance with NC G.S. 143- 64.31, the Authority will negotiate a contract with the best qualified firm based on the Scope of Work listed in this RFQ.
