The City of Saginaw is soliciting Sealed Bid Proposals for Boiler Replacement at Kochville Station with specifications as shown in bid document. This bid will be considered All or None and No Substitutions will be accepted. 'All or None' means bidders are required to submit pricing for all years and/or all items requested. Any proposal submitted that does not meet this requirement may be disqualified. If said bid is not listed as 'All or None', the City reserves the right to split said bid to our best benefit. 'No Substitutions' means bidders are required to submit pricing for goods/materials as noted in specifications. If the bid does not include no substitutions language, the respective bidder can submit pricing for a substitution and/or alternate. You must identify the brand, model, part number, etc., method or process. Bidders may include supporting documents. The City reserves the right to determine equivalent. Obtain all required State of Michigan permits - Demolition and removal of existing Cleaver Brooks hot water heating boiler - remove unit from site - Demolition, removal, and roof repair of existing 14" vent stack - Remove existing system three-way valve and revise piping for primary-secondary piping configuration - Remove and replace existing compression tank with new ASME stamped B&G 40-gallon compression tank, including tank fittings, gauge glass, stand, and supports for tank - Provide one (1) new Lochinvar model FTX725N stainless steel condensing high efficiency hot water supply boiler to be fired on natural gas at a maximum rate of 725 MBH input - Complete site preparation and installation of the new boiler - Complete primary-secondary piping transitions, including addition of boiler primary circulating pump per manufacturer's specification and installation instructions - Install new B&G B7-12 fill valve to replace existing as well as adding 3/4 " swing check valve downstream of new automatic fill valve - Install new sidewall venting and air intake piping per boiler manufacturer's instructions - Install condensate neutralizer and pipe to existing floor drain in boiler room - Complete transitional gas piping to the new boiler - Complete 120 volt, 1 phase, 60 hertz electrical transition to new boiler - Reinsulate all new piping - Install high-capacity automatic air vents on mezzanine supply and return piping for purging air from system - include ball valves for isolation of air vents for future service - Start-up and adjustment of new Lochinvar Boiler per manufacturer's recommended procedures - Complete State of Michigan required annual portion of boiler CSD-1 testing and documentation - Complete owner/user training in the new boiler system - Provide start-up documents and manuals, as required
